So many floral prints out there, but fruit prints are rarer, and nectarines get no representation. But a perfectly ripe nectarine is the best fruit of all, so here is an homage to underappreciated hybrid stone fruit. Like all Thread Circus robes, this robe is constructed of light breathable layers of cotton (the fabric sandwich!) held together with all-over quilting. The wrap front is secured with an interior tie and an exterior self-belt. Sleeves are 7/8 length with a slight bell shape.

All prints are designed in-house and are exclusive to Thread Circus.

Thread Circus robes may look precious, but they are utilitarian garments. They can stand up to frequent machine washing and drying.

What inspired this style?

A fragment of a vintage kitchen curtain was the inspiration for this print. Although faded and stained, it was easy to imagine this curtain fluttering in a the sunny window of a cheerful 40s red and white kitchen. I wanted to channel that cheerful feeling into this robe. The curtain needed to be scanned, digitally thoroughly cleaned and arranged for the style. I added a dotted ground because it seemed like the right thing to do.
